The Port of Kotor sits at the southeastern corner of the Bay of Kotor, directly below the Old Town walls. Most ships dock at the main berth; occasional tendering applies when multiple large vessels share the bay.
Cruise ships dock at the Port of Kotor, within walking distance of the UNESCO-listed Old Town. Allow 5–10 minutes on foot to the Sea Gate or 2–3 minutes by taxi. The Bay of Kotor arrival is one of Europe's most spectacular — plan to be on deck. Confirm your all-aboard time and keep a 60–90 minute buffer before departure.
From the gangway, walk the harbour promenade clockwise to the Sea Gate — 5–10 minutes on foot. Taxi ranks sit outside the terminal building for Perast, Lovćen and fortress drop-offs if you prefer not to walk. Excursion coaches meet at the terminal exit with line flags.
Facilities include toilets, a small tourist information desk and souvenir stalls. ATMs are available but can run empty on busy days — withdraw euros on the ship. Montenegrin is the official language; English is widely spoken in tourist areas.
